The Power of Accountability- I Am the Light I’m Seeking
Welcome to the Spiritual Warrior Shamanic Sound Healing Podcast. I’m Rasa Priya. In this episode, I share the secret of how to truly impact the world, how to become a healing agent in these times of chaos and separation. Followed by my song “I Am the Light I’m Seeking”
Sometimes we hear the phrase “holding space for others”, but what does that really mean? When we are wronged so many feelings arise. Betrayal, disrespect, anger, so many things come to our experience. Sometimes we reach out to community, shaming, blaming, and crucifying our counterpart. We feel justified sharing our beliefs as we gather support for our perspective, highlighting the expressions of wounding by our perceived opposition, by our perceived enemy. We call them names, and feel righteous with our choice of expression. After all community has a right to know, right?
From this, the dynamic of separation is nourished. It's us vs them, and all who take sides contribute to the collective wounding of separation. Our feelings are certainly valid. No one wants to be cheated, but I wonder I wonder if there is a way for us to feel validated without adding to the pain of separation?
Holding space for the expressions of wounding by others is the healing agent we all possess. When we are able to be accountable for our own experience, without pointing the finger at another, in any given situation, rather than playing the victim, we become empowered. We become the healers in this world of birth and death.
It’s a truly rare gift, but it is within all of us. There is so much value in the choice to be accountable for our own experience, to search out what caused us to create the vibration needed for that particular experience.
Sometimes I wonder if we will ever evolve to a place where we can be in opposition, while having the compassion for the wounding of our perceived enemy. It all starts with accountability, looking inward. This song is about finding the light by focusing our attention to ourself.
On the edge, looking over
Wonder what I see
Sounds and shapes of shadow men
Hide inside of me
They hold their heads above the water
I can feel below
Stay with me behind my smile
The dark behind the glow
On the edge, looking over
Wonder what I see
Reflections of just who I am
In everyone I meet
What I see in you is me
Sometimes its kind of hard
Wipe the tears and carry on
Surrender to the dark
Open up to whats inside
Awake from this dream
Take the road less traveled on
Sometimes its hard to see
Burn the fire of my edge
Test of who I am
Open up my heart to find
What I seek is me
I am the light I’m seeking
Even where I stand
I am the light I’m seeking
Faith in who I am

On the edge, looking over
Wonder what I see
Can I hold a space of love
Serve what wants to be
I try so har to find a way
Adjust the place within
Tears behind an empty smile
They come and fade away
Open up to whats inside
Awake from this dream
Take the road less traveled on
Sometimes its hard to see
Burn the fire of my edge
Test of who I am
Open up my heart to find
What I seek is me
I am the light I’m seeking
Even where I stand
I am the light I’m seeking
Faith in who I am
